Grilling made Easy:
Tips and Tidbits for a great BBQ
1. Rubs, rubs, rubs. Spices, salt, and sugar add a lot of flavor to your food. Don't overdue it, though. Too much flavor can take away from the true flavor of your meat, chicken, or fish. And, just as its name suggests, rub the rub into the food and cover it completely. Let it refrigerate for up to a few hours.
2. Foil is very handy for grilling. It is useful for fish that falls apart and is great for grilling corn.
3. After the fire dies down is the perfect time to grill fruits. Try apples, pineapple, or pears. Veggies should be grilled over medium heat. Brush with oil to avoid any sticking to the grill.
4. Marinating meat is as important as the cut itself. Make sure to completely immerse the meat in the marinade and refrigerate. The longer the marinade time, the shorter the cooking time.
5. B-B-Q Sauces should be put on at the end of the grilling process. This prevents the sauce from burning on the meat. And the best part of barbequed food is the tasty, zingy, finger-licking good sauce!
